If you are looking for a quick, yet delicious brunch spot to eat, Poached Kitchen is your place for churro waffles, avocado toasts and breakfast burritos.

All the omelettes are build your own, which means you choose your vegetables, protein, and cheese. Each plate is served with potatoes, toast, butter and jam.

A neighborhood brunch joint located in Downey, Calif. is perfect spot to start off your day. From breakfast burritos to churro waffles to huge omelettes, this place offers everything that defines brunch. Since we have a yelp addiction, we found this joint about a year ago, and this is our go-to brunch place when we want great food without waiting hours to get a table. Don't get us wrong, the line leads out the door, but you never wait more than 15 minutes. Here are our most recommended items on their menu.

I'm a sucker for omelettes. Some need coffee to start their day, I need my egg fix in the morning before I can enjoy any type of sweet decadent waffles, pancakes or french toast. I'm a savory first, sweets second type of girl. The Build-your-own omelette dish is quite a filling meal because the complete meal includes the omelette itself, potatoes, toast and a side of butter and jam. Add some hot sauce (the whole bottle for my spice addiction) and enjoy this deliciousness.

For those of you who have a sweet tooth in the morning as soon as you open your eyes, the churro waffles are for you. If you do not like churro flavor, Poached Kitchen offers classic french toast and classic waffles along with PB&J french toast and baked apple pancakes. There are many sweet options, so you cannot go wrong with your choice.

Aside from the food, the interior design is adorable. It is adorable because the largest wall in the restaurant has a mural filled with brunch item cartoons such as sunny side up eggs with enormous cartoon like eyes, waffles with the same type of eyes and pancakes with doll like eyes too. The mural is truly adorable and makes you excited for brunch, well at least for me.
